Women on the Water is BACK! 💜💛💚

A few weeks ago Sarah and I paused our beautiful River Journey while I took a work contract in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 For 16 years I have been a wilderness/adventure recreation guide. Over the course of my career I’ve taken people on adventures in the Boundary Waters, Yellowstone National Park, the Mississippi River, Costa Rica, Patagonia, Ecuador, and more ✨

This year marked my first time working in Costa Rica since before covid. Returning felt really good and grounding in many ways: the warm weather was restorative and healing. I was finally reunited with friends I hadn’t seen in nearly 3 years. And it felt *really* good to move my legs on long hikes while giving my tired paddler’s-arms a rest.

Sarah and I flew back to New Orleans on Saturday, road tripped up to Vicksburg on Monday, and are going to jump back on the River today! It has felt really good to reunite with Sarita, and I am stoked to jump in Lil’ Mama and get back on the water 🛶

But first! Here are a few moments and memories from our magical, 24 hour, Mardi Gras sampler in New Orleans ✨ Special thanks to my sweet friend Stef for hosting us, and to our fabulous friend Sunny for helping us get all the way back up-river to Vicksburg 🛶
